Bike Stories 2022

Bike-Stories is a bike themed story telling event to support Second Cycle's work in the community and the people that rely on it. We will have a buffet style dinner available there will be a cash bar there to. Your General admission ticket comes with 2 drink tickets. The program will be about 75 minutes long with a good break in the middle.

Bikes are great - We love bikes - but Bike Stories isn’t just about the bike, it's about what happens to you on your journey, your story. Storytelling can be many things, but we think it’s about authenticity, vulnerability, and embracing community. When we tell stories; We bear witness to each other's lives, we understand people on a deeper level, and maybe we understand ourselves on a deeper level too. Bike stories is about connecting people through storytelling, showing the impact the bicycle has on folks and showcasing what 2nd cycle has done and can do for our community. It’s about celebrating our work and affirming support to raise the funds needed to do the work.

Join us for an evening of storytelling to help fund the important work that Second Cycle does for our community. The goal of this event is to support and continue our programs below:

  • Earn a Bike - A six session earning and learning course where youth learn how to rebuild a bike
  • Summer Urban Bike Camp
  • Pedals for the People - a adult bike give away program
  • Pedal it Forward - A free flat fix and minor repair program for folks in need
  • Court involved youth Program / partnership with the Pierce County Juvenile Court
  • Volunteer Programs and Recycle Reuse Operation - We provide volunteer opportunities for youth and adults in need of community connection and access to community knowledge
