It is said that you can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a bike ---and that is pretty close.
I serve on the Board of Directors of 2nd Cycle and as a Volunteer Wrench and Mensch. Prior to the pandemic, 2nd Cycle committed to an expansion. It turned out to be prescient, as 2nd Cycle's goods and services have never been in higher demand. This year we were able to provide health care for our staff for the first time.
We need your generous donation to expand our Youth and Educational Programs and to take more bikes off of the scrap heap and upcycle them to help those less fortunate and spread joy.
How much will you spend on your next bike? upgrade? vacation? personal consumer item?
How durable will the high and satisfaction be from your next consumer purchase?
Please consider taking a portion of that personal budget (10% - 1000%) and donating it to 2nd Cycle. Satisfaction guaranteed. If your personal sense of joy and satisfaction per dollar is not higher and more durable than your next consumer purchase, I will personally refund your donation.
I am passionate about 2nd Cycle’s mission, vision, and good work -- breaking down barriers to access, reaching out to those less fortunate, and sharing the freedom and joy of riding and the satisfaction of self-sufficiency. 2nd Cycle is an asset to our greater community, improving our health and happiness quotient by working to create vibrant, sustainable, and robust bicycle-friendly communities.
Please give generously, your donation will not only help less fortunate kids and our marginalized brothers and sisters, it will spread joy throughout our community -- kind of like a pandemic (but in a good way).
